After School Club
Tarner After School Club runs in term time only, from 3pm until 6pm. We currently collect from Carlton Hill and St Luke’s School. Healthy snacks such as fresh fruit and vegetables, crackers, and yoghurt are available throughout the session, and at 5pm we also provide a vegetarian meal and pudding, cooked fresh every day.
In 2019 Ofsted rated Tarner Children’s Project as a ‘good’ childcare provider. We are extremely proud of the safe, exceptional quality and affordable out-of-school play we provide for children aged 4-11 years.
Since 1996 we have been providing children with a wide range of exciting, stimulating and educational play in a wonderful park setting. The children are encouraged to make full use of the park and its facilities all year round, with a large emphasis on learning through play. This magical outdoor space is where they make friends, develop new skills and most importantly, have loads of fun!
We offer a wide range of activities:

At After School Club my son (who has dyslexia) has formed several important friendships. His self-esteem has been boosted due to the caring attention of the staff who have fostered a safe environment where he feels confident. The staff at After School Club have been extremely supportive and have taken the time to work with my son, to get to know him and to build his confidence. This year I have seen a marked difference in my son; he is much more confident and happy.” – Parent

“My daughter never minded going to Tarner, even preferred sometimes to be there than to be home, especially for holidays. This certainly put my mind at rest and enabled me to work with less stress and worry knowing she was happy. Tarner was able to handle her in a fun atmosphere but had firm boundaries and good role models. We thank you so much and miss it now.” – Natalie, Parent
